Our Services
With
more than 300 doctors and two campuses, our hospitals deliver care
which combines the most up-to-date medical and surgical treatment and
state-of-the-art equipment, with the personal touch of caring
individuals. We thank you for visiting our facilities, and pledge to be
of service.
Clinical Laboratory Full-service
clinical laboratories with pathology services serve both inpatients and
outpatients. The hospital blood bank is supplied by the Hernando
Community Blood Bank. We encourage residents to support the blood bank
by becoming blood donors and donating regularly.
Intensive Care Units Our
intensive care units are designed to provide constant, individualized
nursing care through utilization of specially-designed equipment and
procedures for patients with critical problems.
Medical/Surgical Units Medical
and surgical units accommodate patients with acute and chronic medical
conditions and pre and post-surgical patients. Pre- and post-op education
is provided to facilitate a smooth recovery. Discharge planning will be
provided to patients with special needs or those requiring follow-up
medical care.
Surgery Our
surgery suites are comprised of fully-equipped operating and endoscopy
rooms. Special features include an adjacent radiology area, laser
surgery and private waiting areas for family and friends. Patients in
need of minor surgical procedures who do not require an overnight stay
are admitted to the same-day surgery area.
Telemetry Units The
telemetry units are progressive care units staffed by specially-trained
nurses, and equipped with state-of-the-art remote cardiac monitoring.
Emergency Departments Our
emergency departments are staffed by specially-trained nurses and
physicians committed to treating the emergency medical needs of the
community.
Diagnostic Imaging and Cardiovascular Services Our diagnostic imaging department provides services which include: general
x-rays, CT scanning, MRI, mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine. Our
cardiovascular services use leading-edge technology to provide the
latest diagnostic treatment options including stress tests, cardiac
catheterizations, and other procedures including arteriograms and
PIC/PICC line insertions.
Physical Therapy Services Physical
therapy services are provided to inpatients and outpatients by Florida
licensed therapists who utilize therapeutic modalities, massage, and
exercise techniques to assist patients in regaining maximum functional
ability.
Education Services Education
services are utilized by our community, physicians, and staff for
training programs such as: Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses, CPR,
